FAQS About Hypnotherapy

All hypnosis is self-hypnosis and you are in control at all times. Hypnosis is a natural, yet altered, state of the mind marked by a high degree of suggestibility where communication with the subconscious mind is present. During hypnosis, you are relaxed, receptive and responsive. You are fully aware of what is happening, are extremely alert, and will remember the whole session.
Some people mistakenly assume that the hypnotic state is an unconscious one, similar to being asleep or under anesthesia. This is not true. We are always conscious in hypnosis, but the subconscious mind can be reached so that positive suggestions are given to bring about changes that you want to make. In fact, the subconscious makes up 90% of the mind, serving as long-term memory bank, controlling and regulating the involuntary functions of the body, acting as the seat of our emotions and the seat of our imagination, carrying out our habitual conduct, and as the dynamo that directs our energy.
Anything the mind affects can be helped with hypnosis through a qualified, certified professional. This includes a long list of issues from weight control to stress management, fear of flying, stopping smoking, gambling problems, building self-confidence, sleep issues, enhancing sports performance, lowering blood pressure, stopping addictions, emotional difficulties, enhancing study and exam performance, pain management, present and past-life regression, and much, much more.
Anyone can be hypnotized, if they so desire, as it is a natural occurring state.
